Construction of the Kerawalapitiya LNG power plant will begin next week, the Ceylon Electricity Board said.
Its chairman Vijitha Herath said that 300 megawatts of electricity would be added to the national grid.He added that the construction of the plant is expected to be completed within two years. The amount allocated for the project is US $ 300 million.
