CEB Chairman Ferdinando resigns

Chairman of the Electricity Board M.M.C Ferdinando has resigned.
Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said in a statement on his Twitter that he had accepted the letter of resignation and that the CEB would appoint Nalinda Illangakoon as its new Deputy Chairman.

At the COPE meeting held on the 10th, the political arena of both countries became heated with the statement made by the CEB chairman that the President had said that the Indian Prime Minister was pressuring him go ahead with the renewable powe projects proposed by Adani Group of India
