Police Release CCTV Footage of Suspected Gunman in Kandana Shooting
Police have released CCTV footage and photographs of a suspected gunman wanted in connection with a shooting at the residence of Ranjith Kumara, also known as ‘Kandane Konda Ranji,’ in December last year.
The incident occurred on December 13, when two unidentified individuals arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at a three-story house on Veedi Mawatha in Kandana. Several bullets hit nearby homes, and authorities confirmed that a T-56 assault rifle was used in the attack.
Six suspects, including the motorcycle rider, have already been arrested in relation to the shooting.
In their efforts to identify the gunman, police have released CCTV footage showing a man walking on the road shortly after the attack. They are seeking assistance from the public to identify the individual.
