Addressing recent disaster incidents, he commented:

“There were reports of a flood situation last Thursday and Friday. During that time, the Disaster Management Center, along with the Sri Lanka Army and other teams, quickly responded to support the students taking exams. Thankfully, all the students were able to take their exams without any issues. I want to remind everyone to be extra cautious about the weather in the upcoming days. If there is rain in your area, it’s important to be prepared ahead of time.”

Regarding the ongoing General Certificate of Education examination for 2022, Commissioner expressed satisfaction with its progress and advised students to arrive early at exam centers to avoid delays. He assured candidates that exams would proceed even if they were up to 30 minutes late.

In emergencies, Amit Jayasundara reminded students to contact the disaster management center for assistance.
