Article 17 of the draft bill of the 20th amendment to the constitution relating to dual citizenship of MP’s has also been passed by a majority after being taken up during the committee stage. The article removes the barrier of dual citizens from entering parliament.
157 voted in favour while 64 voted against thereby passing the article by 93 votes.
