A stone from Sita Eliya of Nuwara Eliya where the princess Sita is believed to have been held will be use in the construction of new Ram temple in Ayodhya, Sri Lankan High Commissioner to India Milinda Moragoda tweets.
This was followed by the instructions by Indian PM Narendra Modi to collect materials from the places related to Hinduism, throughout the world. The stone is handed over to Mayurapathy Amman temple for blessings recently. It will be received by Mr Moragoda after blessings and he is expected to be brought to India and hand it over to Ayodha Ram temple.
