Although the Ministry of Education had informed that there were 20,688 Advanced Level students in the education zones of the Colombo District to be vaccinated against Covid, only 15,000 students have received the vaccine from the 15th to the 19th of this month, said Dr. Dilip Liyanage, Director of Health Services, Colombo District.
Dr. Liyanage also requested parents to vaccinate all students who have not yet been vaccinated as they have not developed any allergies.

He also said that he would make a special request to the school children in the Colombo district to take action as the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine is given to school children.
