Royal Nursing Home (Pvt.) Ltd., the premier elderly care service provider that adheres to ISO 9001:2015 standards, recently won the Platinum Award for the Best Healthcare Service Provider of the Year in the large scale category at the BWIO Awards organized by the Business World International Organization. Mr. Manuja Hewawasam, the Chairman of Royal Nursing Home (Pvt.) Ltd., received the award at a gala event held at the Taj Samudra Hotel. The company has previously won many national level awards for its excellent service delivery. Mr. Hewawasam, commenting on the award said that they plan to open branches in England and Canada by the end of this year to expand its services, renowned for professionalism as well as warmth, to elders in other countries. This would help Sri Lanka earn much needed foreign revenue, he said.

Royal Nursing Home was established in 2007 with 10 nurses. By now, it is a very large organization that employs over 900 staff members and a total asset valuation of over 3 billion rupees. It managed to become a pillar of the economy by winning hearts and minds of the customers through providing the highest quality of service to the senior citizens. Mr. Hewawasam said that a number of Sri Lankan companies struggled due to the prevailing economic conditions as they did not take the right decisions at the right time. Royal Nursing Home weathered the storm and emerged stronger than ever, because of the bold decisions and management excellence of directors and managers of the company. The company expects to provide free training for those who have passed GCE OL exams (0718131131) and guide them to take up nursing positions abroad in 2023. This will provide solution to both youth unemployment and foreign currency shortage, he said.
