The International Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS) has been recognised as one of Sri Lanka’s Best Employer Brands by the well-known Employer Branding Institute. This award recognizes the institute’s strong focus on excellent human resource practices, effective talent management, and creative strategies. Dr. Kithsiri Edirisinghe, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Founder, and Director of Academic Strategy & International Affairs at IIHS, received the award on behalf of the institute. His leadership has played a key role in building IIHS’s reputation as a top employer in the field of healthcare education. The award selection process was guided by senior Human Resources (HR) professionals and experts from over 36 countries, affirming that IIHS’s efforts in creating a supportive and inspiring workplace are recognised internationally.

This achievement reflects the institute’s commitment to developing a positive workplace culture focused on growth, innovation, and empowerment. IIHS credits this achievement as well as its success over the past to its passionate and dedicated staff, whose hard work has been essential in reaching significant milestones. The institute strives to not only attract talented people but also support and develop their potential. By encouraging continuous learning and new ideas, IIHS has become one of the most desirable employers in Sri Lanka. IIHS has also introduced groundbreaking human resource initiatives, setting new standards in talent development and management. The institute’s focus on building a positive, motivating environment has been a key factor in receiving this recognition as a top employer.

Celebrating this honour, IIHS reaffirms its commitment to creating a workplace where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute their best. The institute remains focused on providing opportunities for personal and professional growth, ensuring both talent and innovation thrive. IIHS’s recognition as one of Sri Lanka’s Best Employer Brands reflects its dedication to building an environment where employees can reach their full potential. This award not only recognizes the institute’s achievements but also highlights its commitment to setting high standards in human resources and talent management.

Remarking on the achievement, Dr. Edirisinghe said: “As we look back on our journey, I am proud of the impact we have made in healthcare through the dedication of our HR team. We have graduated over 5,000 nurses and organised more than 250 workshops contributing to the development of human capital in the healthcare sector. Our focus on sharing knowledge is clear in the 100+ conferences and research forums we have hosted, all thanks to the commitment of our small but hardworking HR team. Even though we have worked with limited resources, our staff has been the driving force behind our success. Together, we have stayed true to our vision: to transform people, communities, and environments through innovation. None of this would have been possible without the incredible efforts of our HR staff, who truly are the heart of our institution.”
