The International Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS) celebrated a significant milestone in healthcare education, marking the graduation of over 600 students from a wide range of academic programs, including Foundation, Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees. This grand ceremony underscored not only the individual achievements of the graduates but also IIHS’s dedication to advancing healthcare education on both national and international levels. With this year’s ceremony, IIHS has trained over 5,000 healthcare professionals to date, showcasing its profound impact on the healthcare sector.

This year’s graduates included over 400 government nurses, demonstrating IIHS’s critical role in meeting the growing demand for accessible and quality healthcare services across Sri Lanka. Furthermore, the global reach of IIHS is reflected in its over 500 alumni currently contributing to healthcare roles in various countries, a testament to the institute’s commitment to preparing healthcare professionals for international success.

As IIHS celebrates this significant achievement, it is important to recognize the message shared by the CEO of IIHS. “As we celebrate your journey into the healthcare profession, it is crucial to acknowledge the challenges posed by an aging population, resource scarcity, and a global nursing shortage. At IIHS, we have equipped our students with advanced tools like high-fidelity simulation labs and the XR Hub, blending innovation with practical learning to prepare them for this dynamic landscape. Our Professional BSc programs broaden your horizons, fostering a transformative vision to create meaningful change. As global healthcare custodians, your role transcends borders, requiring a balance of technology, ethical care, and ‘mythologic thinking’ to address complex issues. Congratulations, graduates, your impact will shape humanity’s future.”
