Niluka Karunaratne prepares to fight with a Chinese Taipei player today

Badminton champ Niluka Karunaratne is also to be seen in action today in his first round of Men’s Singles.
Representing Olympics for the third time he will meet Tsz-Wei Wang of Chinese Taipei in court three of the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza at 8.00 p.m. (4.30 p.m. SL time).
Tehani Egodawela was fortunate to take part in Tokyo Olympics in the Women’s 10m air rifle event qualification round but unfortunately, she was disqualified for the net round. Her event was at 5.00 a.m. in local time and placed in 49th out of 50 competitors earning 611.5 Points. There were only 08 women shooters qualified for the next round.
The final round of this event will take place in this afternoon session to determine the first Gold Medal in shooting at the Tokyo Olympics.
Woman swimmer Aniqah Gaffoor will swim in lane five of heat one of Women’s 100m butterfly qualifying round to be worked off at 7.30 p.m. (4.00 p.m. SL time).
