The Cabinet has decided to review the ongoing Grade 6 education reforms and defer their implementation until 2027.
Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said the decision follows findings in an investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department and the National Institute of Education into the controversial Grade 6 English module.
He added that based on the investigation report, the Governing Council of the National Institute of Education will initiate disciplinary action against the officers found responsible for the issue.
