The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has decided to take strict disciplinary action against all Members of Parliament who act against the party leadership or decisions taken by the party, regardless of their rank.
At the SJB Working Committee meeting held last week under the chairmanship of party leader Sajith Premadasa, members unanimously passed this resolution.
It was also decided to appoint a permanent disciplinary committee to handle internal disciplinary matters.
According to the proposal, any MP who acts contrary to party decisions or publicly expresses views against the party leadership will face disciplinary action, including possible expulsion from the party.
