MP Ramanathan Archuna told Parliament today (10) that Velupillai Prabhakaran repeatedly declared himself his god, and he is not afraid to acknowledge it. He stressed that there is nothing wrong with considering someone who sacrificed his life for his people as a god.
He further stated that Rohana Wijeweera, who also gave his life for his people, is a god to him as well.
Archuna said he would definitely travel to Geneva to testify before the Human Rights Commission against the crimes committed against his people in the North and return to Sri Lanka afterward.
At the same time, he declared that he was ready to be arrested if necessary. He emphasized that he holds no ill will towards the Sinhalese people, adding that Sinhalese communities loved him the most, as he had worked as a doctor in Trincomalee, Kalubowila, and Anuradhapura.
He further noted that at the next election, he intends to contest from a constituency with a Sinhala majority.
