Suriyawewa Nuwan Jayasekara –
Walasmulla Magistrate and Additional District Judge Navoda Kokuhennadige today (18) issued arrest warrants for Edirisinghe Kamkananenge Lahiru Madushan, alias “Thembili Lahiru,” and Nedun Hewage Nirmala Sanjeewa, alias “Backo Saman,” who are currently hiding in Dubai. They are alleged to have masterminded the brutal murder of “Middeniya Kajja” along with his son and daughter at the Galpotthayaya Kadewatta intersection in Middeniya.

The arrest warrants were issued following a request made by the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Middeniya Police, Chief Inspector Rohan Wickramasekera, who sought court approval to report further details regarding the triple murder.

Police investigations revealed that “Thembili Lahiru” and “Backo Saman” orchestrated the killing of the father, son, and daughter, who were riding a motorcycle on the night of the 18th of last month around 10:30 p.m.

Open warrants have been issued against Edirisinghe Kamkananenge Lahiru Madushan, a resident of Kudagal Aare, Middeniya, and Nedun Hewage Nirmala Sanjeewa, a resident of Ulahitiya, Middeniya.
