Former Member of Parliament Lohan Ratwatta has been arrested by Kollupitiya Police for driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a major accident at the Kollupitiya junction.
According to police reports, Ratwatta was heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident.
This arrest comes just a day after Ratwatta was released on bail, having spent over a month in remand custody in connection with a stolen vehicle case.
