The Dambulla International Stadium Management Authority has taken new measures to address safety concerns caused by spectators climbing trees in Section F during matches, Ada newspaper reports.
Starting with today’s Sri Lanka-New Zealand One-Day International match, the Stadium Management Authority will install barriers and post warning signs to prevent this dangerous activity.

The Authority has already removed a Kohomba tree (Azadirachta indica) from this section, as it was deemed unsafe. Another popular climbing tree in the area is also at risk of collapsing.
The Stadium Management Authority emphasizes that spectator safety is a key responsibility, and these measures are part of efforts to ensure a secure environment.
