The Sri Lanka Under-19 cricket team, led by Sineth Jayawardene, embarked on their journey to the Asian Cricket Championship tournament in Dubai today (06) at 6 am.
Comprising 17 players and accompanied by 10 officials, the team is set to compete in its first international tournament following the lifting of the ban imposed by the International Cricket Council on Sri Lanka.
The inaugural match for the Sri Lankan U19 team is scheduled for this Saturday (09) against the Japan Under-19 team in the Asian Cricket Championship.
