Co-Accused in Trump’s Attempt to Overturn Election Indictment: Who Are They?

Former US President Donald Trump and 18 others are facing a 41-count indictment over their alleged involvement in attempting to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia. Here’s a breakdown of the individuals accused alongside Trump:

The Lawyers
1. Rudy Giuliani: A prominent figure among the accused, Giuliani served as Trump’s personal lawyer during the election. He led legal challenges disputing the election outcome and is charged with making false statements about election fraud. Giuliani faces 13 charges.

2. John Eastman: Represented Trump in a lawsuit aimed at overturning election results in several states. In Georgia, he’s accused of being part of a plot to convince state senators to disregard election results and appoint fake electors.

3. Sidney Powell: Another Trump attorney known for promoting false fraud claims. She’s accused in Georgia of tampering with ballot markers and tabulators.

6. Ray Smith III: Filed election challenges and made false claims at legislative hearings.

7. Robert Cheeley: Accused of making baseless accusations about double-counting votes.

Federal and Trump Campaign Officials:
1. Mark Meadows: Former chief of staff to Trump, alleged to have pressured an investigator to speed up signature verification and to be involved in a call with Trump urging the overturning of Biden’s victory.

2. Jeffrey Clark: Former DoJ official accused of persuading acting attorney-general to claim voting irregularities in Georgia and being part of wider efforts to investigate voter fraud.

3. Michael Roman: Senior Trump campaign member alleged to have played a role in organizing the fake electors’ scheme.

Georgia State and County Officials:
1. David Shafer: Former chairman of the Georgia Republican Party charged with sending a fake certificate of Trump electors and making false statements.

2. Misty Hampton: Former election supervisor of Coffee County accused of aiding Trump supporters’ access to voting equipment.

3. Cathy Latham: Former Republican Party chair in Coffee County and one of the fake Trump electors.

4. Shawn Still: Former finance chair of the state Republican Party and one of the fake electors.

Others:
1. Trevian Kutti: Former publicist for R Kelly and Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), accused of pressuring an election worker to falsely admit fraud.

2. Stephen C Lee: A pastor from Illinois accused of intimidating election workers in Atlanta.

3. Harrison Floyd: Former head of Black Voices for Trump, accused of intimidating Atlanta election workers.

4. Scott Hall: Trump supporter involved in attempting to access sensitive election equipment in Coffee County.
