Afghan Cricket Stars Treat Sri Lankan Team to a Special Meal

Afghan cricket stars Rashid Khan and Yamin Ahmadzai, currently in Sri Lanka for a one-day cricket tournament, prepared and shared a special meal with their teammates and Sri Lankan captains Dasun Shanaka, Chamika Karunaratne, and others.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board’s official YouTube channel released a video capturing the event.

Karunaratne couldn’t hide his excitement and remarked, “I’ve had mutton before, but this is truly unique and delicious. It’s a special dish.” Impressed by its flavours, he even asked for the recipe from the talented chefs.

Sri Lankan captain Dasun Chanaka, trying the dish for the first time, expressed his appreciation, saying, “I really enjoyed it. Many thanks to the Afghan team.”

This heartwarming culinary gesture showcases the strong bond between the cricket teams and emphasizes the joy of sharing cultural traditions through food.
