A complaint has been made to the Polonnaruwa police by Kapila Gamini Sirisena, a brother of former President Maithripala Sirisena, that an employee who worked at his house stole a gem-studded ring worth ten million rupees and also spirited away five thousand dollars and one hundred thousand rupees in cash from his house.

Kapila Gamini Sirisena made a complaint to the Polonnaruwa Police Station yesterday (28) regarding this theft, which happened a few days ago.

He has complained to the police that one of his employees from Beliatta Gatmanna, who was working under him, has committed this theft.

Kapila Gamini Sirisena is a businessman who owns several large-scale quarries known as Chaminda. At that time, it was alleged that Chaminda was also among the few quarry businessmen who destroyed the historic Paladeniya Maha Gal Pauwa (a great mortar wall), which was part of Queen Sugala’s kingdom.
