Former Attorney General Dappula de Livera has been asked to appear before the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) tomorrow (April 19).
He has reportedly been summoned before the TID in order to record a statement on his controversial statement that there was a coup behind the Easter Sunday bomb attacks.
The AG made this statement just prior to his retirement, in which he said that there was a grand conspiracy behind the Easter attack.
Defence Secretary Kamal Gunaratne, responding to a question raised by a journalist during a press conference, said that the CID would look into the matter.
A few weeks ago, Mr De Livera’s Longdon Place office was ransacked by an intruder, who got away with a file. Mr. de Livera had lodged a complaint with the IGP, who had referred the matter to the CID.
