Darin Weerasinghe, representing Sri Lanka in the 120 kg weight class at the Asian Powerlifting Championship in Malaysia, secured a silver medal.
Competing against participants from various Asian countries, Weerasinghe demonstrated strength and skill in the bench press, squat, and deadlift events.

This accomplishment adds to Weerasinghe’s previous achievements, including winning the gold medal in the 2019 Commonwealth Powerlifting competition and securing the gold medal in the 2023 Asian Regional Bench Press event.
In the Asian Powerlifting Championship 2023, where over 400 athletes from Sri Lanka participated, Weerasinghe’s exceptional performance earned him silver medals across multiple categories in the 120 kg weight class.
