Sajith leads demonstration against government’s ‘anti-democratic processes’

Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa today (07) held a ‘silent protest’ against the anti-democratic process of the government organized by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya in front of the Presidential Secretariat.

It was attended by the people’s representatives representing the party.

Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa said that the government is launching repression and state terrorism and that several inmates of the Mahara prison have been killed as a result. He said that even today the government has not revealed the names of the victims and their relatives who do not know anything about this are suffering severely.

He said that the government was in a situation where human rights as well as human rights were being violated and that he would fight against this repression as an opposition and as a united people’s force.
