A spokesman for the Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors Association told Lankasara that Covid was preparing to step down from his duties He also said that already Public Health Inspectors have been removed from their duties in the Gampaha district at an unofficial level.
The public health inspectors said that the entire health service was to join the strike and demanded that it be provided in a way that would cover the families of health workers without targeting a specific group.

“Today, vaccinations are being given island-wide to cover the relatives of doctors. It doesn’t matter. But why only them. The entire health service, including the minor staff deployed on Covid duties, is in danger of death. Is the lives of the families of the nursing staff, minor staff and public health inspectors at the forefront of Covid duties worthless? “
This work cannot be done that way. If this vaccination starts, we will definitely go for an island-wide trade union action tomorrow. Public Health Inspectors have already resigned from their duties in the Gampaha District.

All health workers will join the protest from tomorrow. ” The spokesman added.
