SL Airports will not open on August 1

Sri Lanka’s Airports will not open on August 1 as planned, according to Airport officials. Airport and Aviation Services (AASL) Chairman Major General (Retd) G.A.Chandrasiri said the opening of airports, therefore, will be further delayed as Covid 19 continues to spread in other countries. 

However, he also said that currently priority is being given to Sri Lankans trapped abroad who wish to return to the country. According to him, only four flights can be accommodated daily between four to six-hour intervals.
