The Chief prelate of Malwaththa Chapter ven. Thibbotuwawe Sr Sumangala Thera who has already decided no to receive or any offerings from politicians welcomed a group of Galle face protesters who came to see him.
He met the youth activists, listened to their aspirations and demands and accepted the message they presented.
When the activists drew the attention of Chief prelate that some of the propaganda carried in the media that the Galle Face battlefield was an anti-Buddhist place, Ven Chief prelate has advised them that at a moment where all people united irrespective of the race or religion for a common goal, those allegations should not be accepted.
A group of 10 delegates representing the Galle face struggle area were present and a group of five was allowed to visit the Chief Incumbent of Malwatta.
