The program to provide employment to 100,000 poor families will begin on September 02.
The objective of the program is to economically empower the low-income and unskilled population through the Multipurpose Development Task Force established by the Government.

Employees are selected on the basis of the following qualifications
- Being unskilled workers who have no education or are below the GCE Ordinary Level level of education.
- Must be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years of age on the last date for calling applications
- Becoming an unemployed member of a family eligible for but not receiving Samurdhi assistance or being an unemployed member of a family receiving Samurdhi assistance.
- Being an unemployed member of a family with elderly, sick parents or disabled members.
- Be a permanent resident of the area of application.
Selection for training
- Only an applicant from one family who has the above qualifications will be considered.
- Relevant vocational training is determined by taking into account the job opportunities available in the rural areas where the applicants reside and all the training areas requested by the applicants.
- Will be trained at training centers in or near his place of residence.
- After successful training, they will be employed in or near the place of residence.
Salaries and allowances
- An allowance of Rs. 22,500.00 per month for a continuous training period of six (6) months. Upon successful completion of the training, the trainees will have the opportunity to be appointed to a permanent government post with a government-approved non-primary technical salary (Rs. 35,000) and allowances in their permanent residence, depending on the field in which they have been trained. Receives government pension after completing 10 years of satisfactory continuous service.
Job grants for the relevant fields are made only on the above criteria, and the fact that the employer gives money or some kind of bribe to someone is a reason for rejection of the job opportunity.
