The Presidential Secretariat has officially announced the arrangement for an all-party government.
The President has stated that he has focused on the need to form a National Interim Government to continue the process of government and to appoint a National Assembly with the participation of the leaders of the political parties represented in Parliament as its first step.
President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has called for an all-party government comprising all political parties represented in parliament.
Former President Maithripala Sirisena, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Susil Premajayantha, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila, Mahinda Amaraweera, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Wijedasa Rajapaksa, Tissa Vitarana, WDJ Seneviratne, Dayasiri Jayasekara, Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Nimal Lansa, Jayantha Samaraweera, Jayaratne Herath, Tiran Alles, Jagath Pushpakumara, Nalin Fernando, MM. Athaulla, Gevindu Kumaratunga, Weerasumana Weerasinghe and Asanka Navaratne were present at the discussion.
