The Habaraduwa police reported the sudden death of a 78-year-old Hungarian woman who had been staying at a villa in Unawatuna, Maharambapara, Siyambalagahawatta area. The tourist villa is owned by a woman from Mataramba, Habaraduwa.
The foreign woman had been residing in the house since 1st of September. When the owner of the house went to check on her yesterday (16) morning, she was found unconscious sitting on the toilet commode. The owner immediately informed the Habaraduwa police.
Upon examination, it was discovered that the woman had passed away. The body was subsequently taken to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital. It has been revealed that the Hungarian woman had been suffering from a heart ailment and had been receiving treatment for some time.
