Talduwa informed the media today (24) that the Inspector General of Police has instructed the former President to present himself at the CID within the next 48 hours to give his statement.

The directive follows an order from the Minister of Public Security, Tiran Alas, who instructed the Inspector General of Police to promptly bring the former President to the CID for questioning.
