Finally Sri Lanka has to pay 6.7 Million USD for rejected Chinese fertilizer

Minister of State Shashindra Rajapaksa says that the government has decided to pay a compensation of US $ 6.7 million to the Chinese Fertilizer Company with the advice of the Attorney General.

He says that after paying the compensation, an agreement has been reached with the company to process and send the fertilizer back to the required standard in Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, the stock of fertilizer has been instructed to be reproduced in accordance with Sri Lankan standards, the Minister of State said.
