Some birds fly thousands of miles to feed and breed in the bird sanctuary of Mannar, and flamingos are one of the most prominent of these birds. Almost every year, new exotic bird species are recorded here. Not only local ornithologists but also foreign bird watchers are attracted to Sri Lanka during this time. .

This is considered a high security zone, but environmentalists say they have received information that these drones are flying at low altitudes that cannot be detected by radar. This is a serious nuisance to these birds and creates a similar threat to noise and predators. In this situation, they may even change their conceptual routes, otherwise Sri Lanka will not be able to see a spectacular bird migration.
