Reliable sources reveal that investigators suspect certain police officers of leaking information about the secret operation in Indonesia to arrest five criminals, including Kehelbaddara Padme.
Upon learning about the planned raid in Jakarta, the suspects abruptly moved from a luxury apartment complex to another location. However, Sri Lankan and Indonesian police teams managed to apprehend five members of the gang after a five-hour surveillance operation.
Investigators believe the operation may have been compromised from within the network itself, as the criminals had prior knowledge and changed their hideout. They further suspect that the leaked information may not have been passed to the gang directly but instead relayed through an intermediary currently hiding in Dubai.
Further investigations are ongoing.
