Cricket commentator admits he received an SMS from Dinesh Schaffter on the day he died.

Veteran cricket commentator Brian Thomas told the media that Dinesh Schaffter, the director of Janashakti Insurance Company, who died mysteriously, did not call him yesterday (15), as speculated.

However, he said he received a short mobile phone message (SMS) from him, in which it was stated that he wanted to meet him.

Giving a statement to a television channel, he said that he responded to this message and sent a message saying that there was no need to meet Schaffter. He also said that he did not meet him on the 15th.

Brian Thomas also stated that his statements regarding the death of Dinesh Schaffter, were recorded, and this information and mobile phone messages were given to the relevant investigation teams.

He said that he was inside his house when he heard about this incident, and this has been substantiated and confirmed by the inspection of CCTV camera footage.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Schaffter, stated that he was going to meet Brian Thomas as he was leaving his home on Flower Road on the evening of the 15th, and the police recorded Brian’s statements as a result.

There was a dispute between them regarding a financial transaction, and Brian Thomas had to be remanded after Dinesh Shafter complained to the Criminal Investigation Department about him.
