The Colombo Commercial High Court has ordered the public auction of three companies owned by former Minister Daya Gamage.
The companies—Daya Group Limited, Daya Apparel Exporter (Private) Limited, and Olympus Construction Private Limited—are to be auctioned to recover the amount of Rs. 100.4 million owed to People’s Leasing and Finance Company.
The respondents have paid approximately Rs. 40,80,000 out of the total Rs. 10,83,09,342 due to People’s Leasing and Finance Company. The auction is scheduled to take place based on the judgment delivered on November 10, 2022, in order to recover the remaining amount.
The Registrar, Deputy Fiscal of the Colombo Commercial High Court, has confirmed that the auction will be held on July 2 at 10 a.m.
