A baby’s milk bottle and a jug were discovered alongside human skeletal remains at the Chemmani mass grave site in Jaffna yesterday (22).
The fourth phase of excavations at the site began on the 21st, and two new human skeletons have been unearthed so far. Among the findings during this phase were the skeletal remains of an infant along with the milk bottle.
Excavations are continuing under the supervision of Jaffna Magistrate A.A. Ananda Raja, who inspected the site again on the 22nd.
