Army Denies Involvement in Fox Hill Journey DJ Party the Night of the Accident

The Fox Hill Journey, DJ night and fun party, following the aftermath of the motor race accident that claimed the lives of seven individuals and left 21 others severely injured, has drawn considerable criticism and raised questions about its connection to the race organizers and the Army.

While social media speculated on links between the event and the Automobile Association, along with the Army, the Sri Lankan Army has vehemently refuted allegations of any association with the controversial events surrounding the race.

In a decisive denial, the Army has distanced itself from any involvement in the Fox Hill Journey DJ night. Contrary to rumors, the Army clarified that the event was organized independently by a hotel in Bandarawela, without any endorsement or support from the Army or the Sri Lanka Automobile Sports Association.

Moreover, the Army emphasized that the timing of the DJ night, coinciding with the Fox Hill Supercross tournament, was particularly insensitive given the somber mood prevailing after the race tragedy.
