Veteran actress Visakha Siriwardena, considered to be the tallest actress in Sinhala cinema, has passed away. She was receiving treatments for a cancer when she demise at the age of 64.
Visakha Siriwardena, who has acted in a number of tele dramas and films, made her film debut with Siri Kularatne’s Anuradha. She then starred in “Sanasanna Ma” and “Sura Dutiyo”.

She also won the Emerging Actress Award at the Visakha Sarasaviya Film Awards for her supporting roles in “Sasara Chetana”, “Sanda Madala”, “Sathya Devi” and “Ehelepola Kumarihami”.
The last rites will be performed in Kurunegala today (24).
