A light aircraft belonging to Sakurai Aviation Private Pilot Training Company has made an emergency landing in Beruwela area.
The emergency landing was made at the beach near the Beruwala town.
Only the instructor and the trainee pilot have been on board at the time.

Air Force Media Spokesman Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe told Lankasara that a rescue team has been deployed to the scene and the pilot and co – pilot are safe.
It is reported that a technical team from Sakurai Aviation has also arrived at the scene.
