Former Minister of Finance, Mangala Samaraweera who recently announced his retirement from parliamentary politics had met with Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga in Horagolla today. According to reports, the duo had engaged in a lengthy discussion during the meeting.
The duo had discussed the forming of a common civil society movement according to sources. Leaving parliamentary politics Samaraweera said he is however not retiring from politics altogether and will embark on a different political journey away from parliamentary politics instead.
