Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who was scheduled to be the special guest at the inauguration of City of Dreams Sri Lanka – South Asia’s first integrated resort hotel complex, which is set to open in Colombo in the near future – has announced that he will not be attending due to unavoidable circumstances.
A spokesperson for City of Dreams Sri Lanka commented that despite Shah Rukh Khan’s absence, the grand opening ceremony will still take place as scheduled. He further said:
“We are aware that many were eager to meet Shah Rukh Khan. We regret that we were unable to make this possible. We would like to express our gratitude to Shah Rukh Khan for his continued support and contribution to our success, and we look forward to welcoming him to City of Dreams Sri Lanka in the near future.”
Shah Rukh Khan’s official agency, WizCraft, issued the following statement regarding his absence:
“We regret to inform you that Shah Rukh Khan will not be attending the inauguration of City of Dreams Sri Lanka, as previously planned, due to unavoidable circumstances.”
