Lotus Tower goes purple to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The Lotus Tower in Colombo was lit up in purple last night (03) to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It was organized by the State Ministry of Samurdhi, Home Economics, Micro Finance, Self-Employment and Business Development to mark the day, Ministry of Finance as a part of a series of events organized. 

The international day aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
