According to reports, this unprecedented find represents a new species of anaconda, distinct from the previously identified green anaconda species inhabiting the Amazon. Dubbed Eunectes akaima, or the Northern Green Anaconda, by researchers, this newly discovered species adds to the rich biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest.
