Veteran and Award-winning Sri Lankan singer Morris Wijesinghe has passed away. Wijesinghe was 79 at the time of this death.
He is best known for his hit songs Duwillen Wathsunu Thawara, Oba Awith Yanna Enna and Aatha Tharuwak. He was a popular film playback singer in the ’80s.

The final rites will take place today (31) at the Mount Lavinia, General Cemetry.
