Two cabinet ministers will visit to Russia tomorrow and that they hope to make a diplomatic request to Russia regarding fuel imports during that visit Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said today.
He was speaking at a press conference called today to announce the nature of the fuel crisis.

Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said that he, as the Minister, had made written requests to purchase oil from Russia and that the Foreign Ministry and the Russian Ambassador were working diplomatically on the matter and that the President was very interested in this matter.
However he pointed out that it would not be possible to order for oil from Russia today and get it tomorrow.
