It has been confirmed that three foreigners who came to Sri Lanka recently under a pilot project to restart and promote the tourism sector in the country have been infected with the coronavirus.
The Director General of Health Services said that three people from Ukraine who were part of a tour group were confirmed to be infected with the COVID-19 virus.

Three members of the first group of Ukrainians who arrived in Sri Lanka on Monday (28) have become infected. So far two Ukrainian groups have arrived in the country. Tourists from several countries including Russia are scheduled to visit Sri Lanka under the relevant pilot project.
