The Delta Variant of COVID 19 virus has mutated into three different variants and spreading across Sri Lanka, State Minister of Drug manufacturing, supplies and regulatory Prof. Channa Jaysumana told in Parliament today (17) .
“These variants have resulted in an increasing number of infected and oxygen-dependent patients. These mutations have contributed to the recent spike of COVID cases,” the State Minister said.
