The President will appoint forty new state ministers tomorrow!

Forty new state ministers in the government of President Ranil Wickremesinghe will be sworn in tomorrow (08). However, the government had not been able to finalise the Cabinet portfolios due to various issues that had cropped up Sources further say that after the swearing-in of the cabinet, there will be openings for new state ministerial posts and relevant amendments will be made at that point. Reports said it is unusual for state ministers to be sworn in before the Cabinet. The appointment of the Cabinet is delayed, but it will not be later than October 10th. The government is most likely to be a national government with over thirty-five ministers and an equal number of deputy ministers. The total number of ministers will exceed 100.

The approval of the President has been received to appoint all the state ministers who held those positions in the previous government at different times.
