The politburo of the JJB has raised issues regarding conditions put forward by Fonseka during the discussion and failed to reach a final agreement.

Earlier, several rounds of preliminary discussions were held between the two parties in order to reach an agreement regarding Sarath Fonseka’s work with the National People’s Movement in the upcoming elections.

However, negotiations with the political groups under the leadership of Palani Digambaram, Surya Kumar, and Mano Ganesan, representing the SJB in the estate sector, are said to be progressing.
